Niacin CRT™ is a unique wax matrix tablet, utilizing the latest Controlled Release Technology (CRT). This technology delivers niacin at a continuous and controlled rate over a 6 to 8-hour period, throughout the tablet's transit time in the intestine. Flushing sometimes occurs with extended-release niacin because there can be fairly significant bursts of niacin released intermittently. However, flushing is less likely with controlled-release niacin.
