What is Turkey Tail & Turmeric in Flor-Essence?
Turkey Tail is a medicinal mushroom prized for its immunomodulating effects. The polysaccharides and polyphenols in Turkey Tail support immune health by stimulating various immune cells within both the innate and adaptive immune system. Turkey Tail also has prebiotic effects in the colon where it promotes the growth of good bacteria, including lactobacillus and bifidobacterium. Burdock root, Slippery Elm, and Kelp are also Flor·Essence herbs that have prebiotic effects. Turmeric has antioxidant properties, stimulates digestion, and supports joint health by reducing inflammation.
How it works
Flora uses the entire fruiting body of the Turkey Tail mushroom, adding almost 3.5 g in each daily dose. Turmeric powder makes up just over 2 g per daily dose. In total, each daily dose includes over 8 grams of herbs. The herbs are individually simmered, decocted, and brewed from our Canadian facility to create a potent concentrated immune formula.
The new formula
This new formula also acts as a tonic to strengthen cellular health.
