Start fresh with a detox!
Detoxification or cleanses are one of the foundations of natural healing. A good detoxification program cleanses the intestinal tract, urinary tract, liver, gallbladder, blood, and lymphatic system. It must include a healthy diet focused on alkaline foods. It must also include plenty of pure water and moderate exercise.
What is the advantage of a detoxification diet?
The advantage of a detoxification diet or cleanse is this: You can eat like a king. You can eat as much as you want, as long as you stick to an alkaline diet. All foods can be classified as either acidic, neutral, or alkaline. Since many health problems arise when our bodies are too acidic, a good detoxification program addresses the acid-alkaline balance of the blood. Therefore, several dietary restrictions are necessary. A detoxification program limits the consumption of flour-based products: cakes, cookies, breads, pastas, etc.; dairy products: milk, cheese, yogurt (except butter). Tropical fruits, dried fruits, processed foods, or preservatives are forbidden. A complete dietary list should accompany any detoxification program you purchase.
How does detoxification work?
Some of the accumulated toxins will be neutralized and excreted in the urine and feces. Detoxification must include supplements designed to actively cleanse the entire body. These supplements, along with diet, will encourage the body to release waste and toxins that have accumulated since the last detoxification. A complete body cleanse should help eliminate heavy metals, chemical toxins, microbial compounds, and decomposition products from protein metabolism.
Detoxification kits
The Herbal D-Tox kit we use includes three sets of tablets (for the intestinal tract, liver/gallbladder, and blood/lymphatic system) and a tincture (for the urinary and lymphatic system). Two tablets of each type and 30 drops of tincture are taken twice daily. We often suggest adding digestive enzymes: 1 to 3 capsules per meal (depending on meal size) to ensure complete digestion. Many people follow a general detoxification with Liver D-Tox.
Detoxification programs are safe and can be used 2 to 4 times a year by almost anyone. Detoxification is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
