Essential oils perfect for love and romance

Don’t leave romance to chance. By curating a romantic Valentine’s Day atmosphere, you are sure to create memorable moments. The right atmosphere includes the perfect setting, enjoyable music, and alluring aromas. It’s well known that scents can impact our mood in very primal ways. Our nasal passages are connected to two areas of the brain heavily involved in emotion and memory: the amygdala and the hippocampus. But we don’t need science to tell us that smells can make or break a mood. Read on for how to set the mood you want with essential oils, a delightful way to round out a perfect evening.

The nose knows what it wants. There are plenty of fun, creative ways to entice your partner with pleasing aromas. You can keep it simple by using a diffuser that disperses a delicate mist into the room. For unwinding, try NOW® Peaceful Night essential oil blend, which includes a variety of citrus oils, lavender, ylang ylang, chamomile, and sandalwood. Give your partner an at-home spa with a bubble bath followed by 5 drops of NOW® Lavender Oil and 4 drops of NOW® Frankincense Oil. To avoid skin irritation, be sure to first thoroughly dilute these essential oils in one tablespoon of a carrier oil (such as NOW® Jojoba Oil or NOW® Sweet Almond Oil) BEFORE adding to bath water. Entice your loved one using an irresistible homemade perfume: fill a 5mL atomizer or 10mL glass roller bottle with Jojoba oil and top it off with 10 drops of NOW Rose Absolute 5%. Learn more about the art of perfumery at the link at the end of this page. You could host a fun workshop for your partner and make them together. Or, go the extra mile and treat your partner to homemade bath bombs using the romantic Rose Absolute oil: https://nowfoods.ca/recipes/diy-bath-bombs/.

Essential oil quality. NOW® Health Group has been a trusted family-owned business for over five decades. NOW® ensures the quality and purity of its oils using internationally recognized methods and testing, which are transparently published on its website: www.nowfoods.ca/now/nowledge/essential-oil-identity-purity-testing. If you come across the terms “therapeutic grade” or “food grade” when it comes to essential oils, know that these two terms are misleading marketing tools that bear no relation to quality.
